The bf LOVES tartar. So once in a while, when I'm a little lazy (let's be honest, it takes 10 minutes!)I prepare him one. I try to change my ingredients from time to time because the cool thing about tartar is that you have so many options (fish, herbs, veggies, sauce, etc). This is the latest recipe I tried, which I think is the best so far : )
Salmon tartar:
- Mix up your dijon mustard, lime juice, egg yolk and tabasco.
- Add slowly while stirring the olive oil to create a mayo.
- Cut in tiny pieces the salmon filet (buy it without the skin.Easier)
- Cut in small pieces capres, radishes and fresh shallots.
- Chop your fresh Cilantro and zest your lime.
- Mix everything together and enjoy on homemade crostinis!!
